School's out for Summer!

The school year is quickly coming to an end. It is amazing how fast the year has flown! It is time to celebrate!

The end of the school year party for the Purple room will be held on Wed., May 18th at 1:00pm. All are welcome so please come help the kids celebrate the start of summer and a wonderful year at SCDC. Brenna (Sadie's Mom) and Christi (Wesley's Mom) have been busy planning a fun summer themed party full of activities and crafts for the kids. They have a sign up sheet outside the classroom for needed party items. If you haven't already please sign up and/or bring your items as requested.

The Graduation ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 19th at 11:00am followed by a luncheon for our graduates. Please turn in your lunch money for Dicky's Bar-B-que if you plan to stay for lunch.

If you have not had a chance to complete the parent survey, please take the time to complete it this week. It will help SCDC know what they need to continue or improve. It is confidential and your name does not need to be included on the form. If you would like a paper copy, please ask Lisa at the front desk.

Calling for Photographers

We need your pictures! Yes, all of our children are models for the Pre-K graduation video. We are trying to get at least two photos of each child an addition to the school pictures and cap and gown photos for the graduation dvd. If you also have photos of the class that would be appreciated. We need high quality cameras pictures! Please send your photos from events throughout the school year to either Kimberly Crain (kcrain08@att.net) or Melissa Hammett (melh0313@yahoo.com) by April 22nd. If you would rather download them to the shutterfly share site, that is perfect too. We would also like to use pictures from the different parties and other events for a gift for the end of the year- more on that to come:)

EASTER is Almost Here

Easter is just around the corner. The Purple Room Easter party will be held on Thursday, April 21st at 1:00PM. We will have snacks and a craft project from 1-1:30 and then head outside to the courtyard for an Easter egg hunt from 1:30- 2:00. Please send a basket and a dozen filled eggs to school with your child that day. Please put the eggs in a separate bag. We will hide the eggs and each child will get a dozen. A sign up sheet for needed items and contribution envelope will be placed outside the Purple room starting Monday, April 11th. March Family Chapel

Reminder- Tomorrow is March's Family Chapel at 1:30

PJ & Pizza Day

Yea! We don't have to get them dressed- just load the kids in the car in their PJs on Wed., Feb. 16th. Pizza will be provided. Remember to pack them a drink.

God Loves You

Love is in the air. I have heard "Mom, I heart you" several times already. Kids say the cutest things that just melt our hearts! Valentine's Day is quickly approaching, and the Purple Room party will be on Monday, Feb. 14th at 1:15pm.

Moms and Dads are welcome as always to help the kids celebrate with a fun craft and other activities. Alex Wiedman, Julie Huff and Kimberly Crain are putting are graciously leading this party. A sign up sheet for needed items has been posted on the wall above the sign-in sheet.

The kids will have an opportunity to pass out Valentine's Day card to fellow classmates.

The cold of Winter

Winter is here! Please don't forget your kiddos coats, gloves and hats. They will play inside if it is too cold (40 degrees or less). Be on the look out for Valentines Day information. Stay warm!
