Merry Christmas- Party Time

Your invited to the Purple Room Christmas Party on Thursday, Dec. 16th beginning at 1:15. We will have food, craft and games. There are a few items still needed for the party. A sign-up sheet is posted outside the classroom. All items are requested by Monday, Dec.13th in order to prepare for the fun party. If you would like to help at the party, please contact Christie Wingo or Kimberly Crain.

This Thursday, Dec. 9th, All Purple Room kids wear your favorite PJs to school for a special surprise! Please remember to keep all pajamas recess friendly and bathroom accessible:)

SCDC Christmas Program

Bring your cameras and come watch the kids melt our hearts! What a wonderful way to celebrate the Christmas season---The Christmas Program is Monday, Dec 6th at 6:30PM. More information to follow from our teachers:)

Parent/ Teacher Conferences

Reminder: Parent/Teacher conferences will be held on November 15th. The Purple room will have two subs that day. If you haven't signed up for a time, please check the sheet outside the room or speak with Ms. Meredith or Ms. Tracy for other arrangements.

Thanksgiving Feast

The Thanksgiving Feast will be on November 18th during normal lunch time. The sign up sheet will be placed on the table outside the room starting Nov. 8th. for whatever Thanksgiving treat you would like to provide. If you sign up for a food item, please note it on the "exact item" so that we don't have duplicates.

This is just a student/teacher celebration….but rest assured they will give thanks for their amazing parents!!!!!

Halloween Party Spooky reminder

Halloween party is Thurs., Oct. 28th at 1:15. Parents are welcome to come watch our Goblins have fun! Bring your camera:)

Family Chapel

Family chapel is Oct. 27th at 1:30. Parents are welcome to join as we continue to learn about the story of Ruth and the Bible verse Psalm56:3. The sign out sheet will be with us in chapel.

Shutterly Share Site

You should receive an email to be a member of the Purple room Shutterfly share site. I am not going to blog on this site, but it is simply to share photos so that we can use them for end of the year gifts. I have created some events so we have folders. This site will allow us to create photo books for gifts or class projects. It is awesome to be able to share photos of our cute munchkins!

Ride Ride Ride- Bike-a-Thon

Reminder: The Bike-a -thon is tomorrow (Wed., Oct. 20th). Purple room is making their rounds between 10:30-11:00. Please label bike and helmets with your child's name and purple room. Wear or accessorize with purple- Purple Pride! Shirts will be provide for the riders.

Don't forget your cameras for some great actions shots! We can download them on the blog or the Purple room Shutterfly share site.

Playdates

Many parents have been wanting to set up playdates outside of school. Tuesdays mornings and Thursday afternoons have been mentioned. Please comment if you would like to set up a playdate. We can use this blog to organize playdates.

Halloween Party

The Halloween party is also sneaky up! The Purple Room Halloween Party will be held on Oct. 28th from 1:15-2:00. You are welcome to come watch snacks, games and crafts.

All of our little, cute goblins can bring Halloween costumes to change into for the party on Oct. 28th. If you don't want to have them wear their costumes, they can wear orange or black since those are the colors for the month of October.

Thank you for those who have sign up to bring an item for the party. Don't forget we need items by Oct. 25th in order to assemble and organize.

Fall Teacher Luncheon

The Purple, Red and Sky Blue rooms are hosting the fall teachers luncheon on October 21st. Please donate $10 as soon as possible. You can place cash or checks (pay able to Kim Crain) in the Purple room folder on the sign in table. This money goes towards food, drinks, birthday recognition, decorations and paper goods. Any money not used will be divided between the three classrooms and applied towards Christmas gifts for teachers (information on Christmas to come later).

3rd Annual Bike-a-thon OCTOBER 20th

Ride a bike, ride a trike, ride a scooter, ride in a wagon! The Bike-a-thon is a school-sponsored fundraiser for SCDC. The parking lot become a bike track.

Classes with 100% participation will earn a Popsicle party! Purple room don't forget to bring your favorite riding toy to school on Oct. 20th. We will direct you to the designated place to park your child's bike with you arrive at school. The Purple room rides from 10:30 to 11:00. Come watch or help with the fun!!!!

The sponsor envelopes went out last week. Please use these envelopes to get sponsors and then for collection of the money. You can get sponsors to pledge per lap or a flat rate. Envelopes are due by October 28th.

It is already October! September flew as the kids learned ABCand D. The reports of fun, friends and silly times have been soaring in with no breath in between:) As we approach special events, holiday parties, and other occasions, we will try to keep you up-to-date on the blog.
